And I agree. Only I wouldn't want one with some poor graphics.

whatever zigrat, sure.

i was looking at that picture and noticed something in the background.

is that a radar post?

i often wondered if the WW2 radar emplacments were little satellite dishes or big ones like seen in this picture.

im no history master, but im guessing the latter.

Why no have radar like this at the fields, and other radar installations scattered around the map.

it would make a good strat target (that is, if it affected actual radar status in any given area.)

Yes, there were dish radars in WW2.

As for doing something better...hmmm.  ;)

WB III I beleive.

To me it looks drawn or painted. It lacks depth..for a lack of beter description or word at the moment that's al I can put my finger on.

Take the AH KI-61 or Ju-88 and get external with the same POV and same distance. You'll see what I mean.

It is retouched.  There are no shadows in WBIII.

Aha! Rgr on the shadow. I'd noticed that but thought it was just a typical distortion effect due to the screen shot being from a close, external POV.  But it's more than just the shadow. If the plane has been messed with  via Paintshop or Photoshop then it's a bad example of what AH (or WBIII) needs.

I need to brush up on my radar theory, but I believe the tiny radar antennas found currently in AH would be near worthless in the real world of the early 1940's. Too small. Not enough gain.

lol Zig.  I get THAT from the guy who couldn't even get the picture to work?  :)

CC Gadly. I'l take your word for it. I was keeping current but I'd gotten behind by one version. I coudn't update it via the patches on the iEN site as they remove the old patches so I just uninstallled WBIII altogther. I was not going to download that huge file again for something I didn't even really use.
