The redneck stereotype:
Today, a redneck is a stereotypical southern United States socially conservative, rural, working class white person with northern European ancestry. The stereotypical redneck is a male, has a beer belly, consumes cheap American beer such as Budweiser or Miller by the case (Pabst Blue Ribbon in more traditional settings) as well as Jack Daniel's, and holds deeply conservative political views. Stereotypically they are homophobic, racist and distrustful of "city slickers". The stereotypical redneck also lives in a trailer, drives a large pickup truck with a Confederate Navy Jack flag decal and a gun rack in the rear window, has a stained sleeveless t-shirt, a trucker hat or baseball cap with long sideburns. Their favorite activities include hunting, professional wrestling, NASCAR, monster truck rallies, and car engine repair. Country and Southern Rock bands such as Lynyrd Skynyrd and other classic rock groups from the 1970s are their preferred genre of music.
I might add that they generally get their panties in a twist because when they tried to bully the French they got a rather Gallic shrug and were told to get stuffed - apprently the whole surrender at a drop of a hat doesn't occur when dealing with America.
