Whats his option, wrestle with her?
seemed like a very professional officer to me.
Days I glad I canceled out of the Mounties.

It looks like MT went with the race card one too many times ala The Boy Who Cried Wolf.

I think the cops should have shot her and then planted a pistol on her to make it legit.

Holy voltage batman!

I did say she was acting "like a dimwit".

Did she deserve to get tased? Yes.

Would the cop have been as quick on the trigger if she were a white woman? I don't think so.

mt... so long as you think in such a biggoted way we will never wipe out racism.

did she deserve it?  that's all you need to think about... the rest was pure biggotry and furthering of biggotry.

I coulda held the door open for a black lady at the gas station today but because of you.... I didn't.

She got what she deserved, but wouldn't have gotten what she deserved so soon had she been white?

Did you listen to the training officer interview/commentary?

And when he pulled out that tazer, that's when you shut your mouth and get out of the car. It's like poker, you can try to bluff, but when you know you're beat you fold. She just didn't play her cards right. Regardless of how quickly a cop pulls out a tazer and say's get out or you'll get tazed, smart thing to do is to get out, I don't care what color you are. I think the phone call could have made the situation worse too, making him take more drastic actions. He probably wanted to avoid getting her friends/family down there if they were close by, that coulda got messy.

So lesson of the day:

When a cop tells you to get out or you'll get tazed, get out:p

I got a really good question.  Not just for MT but for everybody.

Had a black man (not a cop) walked up to her car and pulled a gun (or tazer) and told her to get out, do you think she would have had as much of an attitude?

Or deep in her heart is she the real racist?

I ask that because there always seems to be a Quanel X or Jessie Jackson to point out just what exactly I meant when I said something and just how racist it is.  It's funny that they know what I really mean.  But to me it just points out THEIR racist feelings because whatever I say, it must racist to me.

Curval - I felt the same.  I did not crack a smile while watching that video. I didn't find it funny, perhaps a little sad that such measures have become routine....

...but what I do find funny is that when a bus driver loses it with some obnoxious, arrogant kids who won't sit where they're told, and manhandles one of them after being called a f**ker, there's public outcry and he gets busted with "misdemeanor battery". But when a woman refuses to get out of her car and is subjected to the much more traumatic and much less pleasant experience of being tazered, it's regarded as "normal procedure". Now that's funny! :lol

I'm with Curval. I kept waiting for something funny to happen. Instead some dumb lady went and got her dumb self tazered. And she made horrible noises that I wouldn't want to hear an anmial make. Did she earn herself that zapping? Sure. Is it funny that she got it? Not to me.

Perhaps I need to be recalibrated.

ditto.

Watching someone hurt isnt funny.

Even if they are in desperate need of attitude adjustment, missed out entirely on the "actions have consequences" part of childhood, and function on the level of a 6th grade clique leader.

Deserved? Definately.

Funny? No.

I just watched it again and she can be heard saying something that sounds like "white police aint nothin but  racists", then the cop says in exasperation "I know" She says "ya'll are some work"

She then says "ya'll pulled over my brother and arrested him for no reason"

Sounded to me like she is being  racist.

The irony of her tough talk, then listening to her moan like a 2 year old who had just got a serious whipping is deliciously funny to me.  I love the irony.  If some of you want to get caught up in imagined social issues of the video that's fine, but you have missed an opportunity at a good chuckle.

If you over stuffed, holier-than-thou wannabes want to rue that she got "hurt" feel free.  I choose to find the humor in it, life is much more enjoyable that way.
