Skuzzy, is it possibly to consider legal action against them for breach of service / false advertising? possibly a civil suit?

Man..calm down. Seriously. For one thing, it's a game. There is an official thread about this and thousands of others like yours. I'm not sure what you expect HTC to do about it. I've heard that they could change hosts, but if there was a better host, don't you think they would have done it by now? AH has a huge amount of data filing into the same spot, and I'm sure Savvis feels the same way about us.

I played right up to 2AM Friday w/o a problem.

Believe me, I'm sure there is some language in any kind of contract that HTC or anyone else has with SAVVIS that says, in long legalese, that this kind of thing is not their fault and if it is there's nothing that can be done regarding it. Just like your ISP, they advertise XMB/Sec (but that's not guaranteed), outstanding reliability (but it's not guaranteed).

Communications companies are masters at the tactics of evade, redirect or simply not respond.

they are the EPITOMY of SATAN on this planet. i hope they all die miserable deaths from some horrible painful disease, weeping the whole time. i hope their children are cursed with the most horrible poxes on them, and also die untimely deaths to the most horrendous thing immaginable.
