OK,
I had a short in an earpeace on my mic / headset so I went out and bought a new headset.

I had very terrible vox.  I was also installing a new mobo at the time so I had a ton of things going on.

The new headset worked perfect in all areas outside of AH2, but I had zero vox in the game.  I never thought it would be the headset, after all a mic is a mic and  it workes perfect in windows.  After trying everything possible and e-mails from skuzzy, i hooked my old set back up and tried it.  BOOM, crystal clear vox

DO NOT BUY THIS HEADSET FOR PLAYING AH2  !!!!!

hope this saves someone from a headache.

When it comes down to low to mid priced gaming headsets, it's kind of hard to beat Logitech.  I've never had a problem with the ones I've owned in the past and if you're trying to save some pennies, they're a good deal.

I ran regular ol string to the AH server, then to all my squadies houses.  found several ol tin cans at dump, .   hooked string up to the cans.  I hear and talk just fine on vox .

Not two days later logitech (all excited) calls me  and wants to buy my headset system to replace their headset systems.  They could not believe how advanced my technoligy is compared to theirs..... go figure.  :p  hehe!!

They in stores now!!!!!!  :)

I worked at a Logitech call center a few years back. It was a rare occasion when there was an actual problem with whatever device I was troubleshooting. 99 times out of 100, it was someone who didn’t read directions or was an idiot. I’ve had MANY Logitech products over the years and not one has ever failed on me. That being said, I would never buy their joysticks. I mean, I like the company but they don’t approach the quality of someone like CH.

I’ve had this cheap Logitech headset that came with UT2004 for almost 2 years and it still works great.

Did that mic come with any software? If it did, uninstall it. You dont need it. If you are using speakers, turn them off and use the headphone portion instead.

I use Sennheiser PC-150's.  Expensive for a PC headset but excellent quality and durable/long lasting, which is important for me because I tend to be a bit rough with my headsets and cheap ones only ever last 3-6 months before one of the channels dies.

The sound clarity and frequency range is better than any headset/mic combo I've tried. It's the only headset I'd really recommend.  There are newer models now, PC-155 and 160, but they're different, 160 is more of a full can (encloses the ear completely), which I tend not to like.  I have a set of Koss full cans without a mic, they're nice for music but my ears get quite hot and uncomfortable during long gaming sessions with them.  The PC150's are better overall.

I bought one of these Logitech® Precision PC Gaming Headsets about 5 days ago.  It seems to work quite well in Aces High.

I find it a bit uncomfortable when worn a long time.  Other than that, I am quite pleased with it so far.  The mike audio is quite clear.

tapakeg, I have a neighbor that bought that exact headset.  I was setting him up to run AH and all we did was plug them in and go.  They worked perfectly.  Maybe you got a bad set.

I have had great luck with two Logitech USB headphone/mics. I guess a lot is system related.
