Locked Threads
« on: June 24, 2005, 02:38:06 AM »
I stopped posting the O'Club a good while ago but for the occasional fishing post or something of the sort.

I noticed Drunky's thread which he was asking Skuzzy for clarificaiton on a thread.  He recieved it in that Skuzzy posted and then that thread was later trumped by an new moderator.

Just an observation...but why lock a thread that your 'boss' is participating in?  That thread looked like it at least helped with a clarification of a rule for a couple folks.

I'm not trying to violate any of the rules I've seen cited by the Mpeg Layer 1-6's or insult them, I fail to see the sense in locking a thread that was actually being of use.

Don't lock your boss!  Skuzzy has the respect of most posters here and he's helped me out with hardware issues in another thread so he's at least useful from time to time :)  Hail Skuzzy!

It's a learning process.  I think the MP's are doing a good job, given the amount of time they have under thier belts.

Even if I participate in the thread, it does not mean the thread would have degraded to something less worthy afterwards.  One of the points the MP's are around is to give better coverage when I am not here.

In the particular case of the thread in discussion here, it probably could have gone for another round or two.  As such, I went ahead and re-opened it.
The MP's may lock something from time to time when they are not sure and then discuss it amongst themselves as to whether or not it needs to remain locked.

Thanks Skuzzy.  As I mentioned I really stopped posting in the O'Club so I don't really have a vested interest.  Just offering feedback which HTC has always recieved well whther their game or the BBs.  Carry on and good job.
