Mine would be the scene in Kelly's Heroes when Oddball's Shermans attack the railyard.

Totally awesome.

..and the sea black with the invasion force.

Bridges at Toko-Ri, Admiral on the Bridge when he gets the news about Brubaker. "Where do we get such men..?"

A Bridge Too Far.. the glider assault scene.

Flight of the Intruder.. goin 'Downtown'.

Just a few..

The scene in Battleground where Van Johnson starts to cut and run at the railroad tracks fire fight and his buddy follows, saying he's with him and they end up setting up an ambush.

The Hell's Angels scene where the dirigible needs to be lightened and the crew abandons ship by walking out the bomb bay.  Later the scene showing the dirigible  on fire from the viewpoint of the brothers who had just crash landed, and the airship coming down directly on top of where they were.  Many great scenes in that movie.

The scene in Run Silent, Run Deep where Clark Gable's  submarine takes on the enemy sub by firing torps under the decoy ship.

The scene in Devil's Brigade where the misfits stop fighting among themselves upon hearing the Canadian's marching into camp with bagpipes and in formation.  Then the bar fight scene with the lumberjacks  in that same movie.

Gary Owen. It's called 'Gary Owen'.

"GARY OWEN!"

Let Bacchus' sons be not dismayed
But join with me, each jovial blade
Come, drink and sing and lend your aid
To help me with the chorus:
(Chorus)
Instead of spa, we'll drink brown ale
And pay the reckoning on the nail;
No man for debt shall go to jail
From Garryowen in glory.
We'll beat the bailiffs out of fun,
We'll make the mayor and sheriffs run
We are the boys no man dares dun
If he regards a whole skin.

Chorus
Our hearts so stout have got no fame
For soon 'tis known from whence we came
Where'er we go they fear the name
Of Garryowen in glory.

We were soldiers - End of the movie when they were pulled into the defensive circle and running low on ammo.

Hamburger Hill - Getting to the top, and finding no one there.

cant remember the name of this one - Movie showing experiments with the first pressurized cockpits and pressure suits to fly at high altitude.

Flying Tigers - Scene of them on "bombing" runs in C-47.

Sounds like this one SoA.

XF-120

One of the first postwar epics to be filmed at Edwards Air Force Base was the Warner Brothers’ "Toward the Unknown." The plot of this 1956 adventure drama was centered here as well. William Holden starred as an ill-starred ex-combat pilot who had dishonored himself by yielding to brutal Communist brainwashing techniques. No longer allowed to fly, he burned for a chance to return to the cockpit and redeem his reputation.

A highly experimental new jet plane finally gave him an opportunity to clear his name and once more serve his country. Faith, courage, and romance triumphed over a general’s skepticism. James Garner made his film debut as Major Joe Craven. "Toward the Unknown" was released in Great Britain that same year, under the title "Brink of Hell." n a film of this nature, the aircraft which appear are usually at least as interesting as the human actors. Several interesting ones starred in this thriller.

The rare Martin XB-51 three-engined bomber made an appearance as the "Gilbert XF-120," and airplane buffs still seek out footage of the rocket-powered Bell X-2 and the Douglas X-3 "Stiletto" research planes. Interestingly, the real-life fame of one of the anonymous F-94C "Starfire" pilots in the action scenes far outlasted the movie itself. Lt. Col. "Pete" Everest, an experimental test pilot who flew most of the X-planes before retiring as a brigadier general, was chief of the Flight Test Operations division.

Numerous other planes from the Flight Test Center also appeared in this film: the XF-92A (masquerading in the movie as a F-102A), F-100 and F-101, the Douglas B-66 and a mighty Convair B-36. Whatever the movie’s qualities might have been as judged by later standards, its lineup of airborne talent was impressive.

Mmmmm, no this one was all prop planes.  They had an old fashioned diving suit rigged to provide pressure and oxygen at high altitude.  I know the one you are talking about though, another good movie.

Which reminds me of yet another good one, Jimmy Stewart flying experimental bombers.........Strategic Air Command.

Thought of another one, then I'm to bed.  I haven't seen this one in a long time.  I need to record it next time it comes on, if it ever does.

In the movie "The Naked and the Dead", the scene where the island invasion started and for a brief  moment, it showed real footage (?) with a line of tanks on a hilltop firing ripple salvos, along with ship firing scenes.  The tank scene lasted about 30 seconds at most, but it was in there with the ship action.  Very somber scene in the movie along with the mood the music set.
