That the one where old mate falls down the ridge and breaks his ankle and rather than leave him to be tortured by the Japs and blow thier entire mission, they give him a cigarette and as he bends to light it, a 9 mil in the back of the head from a silenced Owen gun?
If so, an entirely crap movie portrayal of an absolutely riveting true story.
My favourite war movie scene would be Graham Kennedy arguing with the pay clerk in 'The Odd Angry Shot'...lol, Graham Kennedy as an SAS trooper was comedy gold in itself. "You heard me mate, I said get fluffied"
Same movie....The Aussie SAS and the US Army 'fight night' between a huge hairy spider and a scorpion at SAS Hill,Nui Dat. RSVN
Lots of money being laid down on each critter.
The spider (the Aussie contender) appears to be absolutely owning the scorpion, so it gets crushed by a US Army boot........the fight night then begins, fists, boots, teeth, nails, ammo boxes, iron pickets, water canteens.... you name it, they hit each other with it, greatest movie all-in-brawl of all time.
Not a movie, but a Tele mini series...ANZACS, two private Diggers strolling through the bazaa in Cairo come across a bemeddled Brit officer, smartly saluting everything he passes.....they completely ignore him, much to his disgust...."You there!! Don't you salute in your Army??!!" ...."We used to , but we're trying to give it up."
We Were Soldiers..The scene where they are talking about how the Sioux fought as a family unit....."Any of you little sons of *****es calls me Grandpa, I'll squealing kill ya" Sam Neil is it?, the old guy anyway...they show the looks on some of the 'little sum*****es' faces, they believe him.
