So, he was dug up and buried, then oh wait, NO, he jumped too low!  Get your story straight.  Were the remains even recovered?

And, regardless of what you want to call it, it is a war grave that a US pilot died at.

It's definately where a P38 crashed on OUR turf, pilot being in it at the moment of impact or not.
He got peeled off the ground and buried poor soul.
The US did not clean up the area. There is tons of wrecks and junk all over the country.
BTW, non-combat related stuff.
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

Bodhi, if the remains of the pilot was removed it's no longer a wargrave. Someone has to be in the grave for it to be a grave.
