"raising awareness" of the burnouts of the world does zero in fixing Africa's problem. The world "civilized" comes to mind....

someone needs to pass out a combo sterilization/aids shot if they want to help them in the short haul .. not waste time and money on music for those that really do zero to fix the problem..

you know, if everyone involved, an all the people watching it, gave the money they spent putting it on (gas, electricity, hotel rooms, food, yada yada) to one of those charity things, a hell of a lot more good would have been done.

damn lazs.. whys it got to be so negative with you man.. floyd alone made it worth it.. first time they'd been back together in decades.. at least the 4 original members.. not like they'd really been seeking the limelite. and I don't really know what planet you're from but i wouldn't call any of the members of floyd washed up bums/bozos.. lol as old as they are, i'd bet they could sell out any arena in america/uk/germany/or many others at any time.. just a shame man you gotta be so negative to such good music.. their stuff is classic and will outlive all of us..

I have a legit complaint... I was on the road and the music from that concert was horrible and it was on my XM station. I pay for satalite radio.

I will complain to them that it was crap. You guys have to be listening while loaded or something to have thought any of that stuff was good. Mostly... it was talking followed by some old guys with burned out voices singing or just going on and on with "improv" stuff like old sixties concerts where they would make something like light my fire or stairway last about 30 minutes and everyone was too timid to boo em off the stage.

If you pay for the service, don't they provide more than one channel?? Or was it on all the sat-radio channels?

there were plenty... I just was annoyed at that one being on. My girlfriend likes that station and the crappy show with all those burnouts lessened my choices... since I pay for it I feel I have a right to complain.

If what they were playing "brought happiness" to you then it was from what you were putting into it... you were on some nostalgia trip that allowed you to discount how awful it was.

Heck... I like outlaw country and rockabilly and some old rock and roll and classical and one out of 20 or 100 new attempts at rock and roll... maybe the same 1 out 100 new country. I like things like Johny cash and hank williams and george jones... for old country but too many to list. Do a top 100 country hits of all time show and I will probly agree with about 80% of em.

I didn't like the british groups like floyd or most of led zep but liked winwood and the stones. I liked elvis. I liked orbison and blondie and some of the eurithmics and jerry lee and bach and wagner.

I rarely like "live" versions of anything unless it is claisical. I seen probly every 60's group back in the day and most were crap live... Janis joplin was surprisingly good live at one concert but too loaded at another.

pink floyd was allways boring to me unless I was on acid.. I don't do acid anymore tho.
