Wife took her mother to visit some relitives for a couple days so this provides me with the perfect opportunity to mess with her head.

Im planning on changing some of the sounds on her computer with different ones

Such as

Youve got mail

Error

Download complete

Goodby

Exit Windows

Windows startup

Keep in mind she knows about as much about computers as your average housewife. which is next to nothing.

Any other suggestions?

You could do the trick were you take a screen shot of the desktop, then use that as the wall paper then take all the icons, and put them in a new folder, so it looks normal but nothign she clicks on will work.

invert the mouse axis in the mouse properties

Both great ideas I will keep in mind for future refrence. But I might not be home when she gets home and logs on so I want her to be able to use the thing without me having to fix it for her right away.

Those ideas will be cool to spring on her from time to time when Im around

Setup remote desktop and hijack her mouse cursor randomly or keep changing the backgrounds. BackOrifice was a fun toy relying (mostly in our case) on social engineering for delivery.
