Bye guys
« on: February 24, 2001, 11:21:00 AM »
I played for an hour today, got killed by the telepathic fleet flak a few times, and then went and canceled my account. It's just no fun anymore, and I have too much other things on my mind to really have the time to fly AH even if I did enjoy it.

Thanks Pollock1, Pongo, Sunchaser and the rest of you guys, it's been fun flying with you.

Take care Ricken.

You are not the only one.

Those of us looking for a WWII sim that works online are stuck with AH, the best alternative, for the moment.

I hope to run into you in WWII Online or IL2 if they actually get released and work.

[ps, if you are testing WWII Online keep us posted if you can, ok?]

LOL I want to see all your reactions when WWII Online comes out and your realize it is a poor flight sim.

Ricken, cya, at least you didnt do a show when you leave. I also get pissed at the acks sometimes, but overall this game rocks.

The only thing that cracks me up about the WWIIO evangelists is they don't realize that no game can live up to the hype afforded that project. By all means, good luck to WWIIO, but there inevitably will be some very disappointed people...

...but I digress. Good luck, Ricken.

Thanks for the kind words (I still remember when we got about 5 kills each in 5 minutes, StSanta. At about 5 feet AGL too  ), and no lazs, it's not just the ack. I guess I might be burned out, and come back eventually, but right now I'm too busy. And I know I won't be disappointed in WW2OL, I just don't think I'll spend as much time in a plane there.

And I hate people who make a great big show out of leaving, so I'll shut up now  .

Rickenbacker,
I've asked you this in the past on AH, but you must've never seen my text.  Were you the same rickenbacker from the old Royal Knights(~RK^) of WB days?  If so, I was known as 'batu' then from Saber squadron.  Sorry to see you go, nonetheless, and take care.

Leonid, yes I was a Lancer, and I do remember you as Batu. That was a great squad, loved our organized missions.

Damn, I keep reading this board   maybe I will be back, but not this spring anyway. Hope to see all you guys in WW2OL, by the way. We probably won't see much dogfighting there, at least not in the beginning, but running ATG missions for real grunts on the ground below should be great fun.
