Two to three years ago I downloaded some terrific historical, illuminated gunsights. I especially liked the ones for the Reggia Aeronautica, and used them all the time.

Alas, my machine destroyed itself last week, and although I am up and running again in Aces High, I can't find those gunsights anywhere. There is no link to them on the AH page.

Does anyone have a set of those sights, or does anyone remember if the url for them is still around? Woe is me, I lost the url addy too... I lost everything with the crash.

Sounds like you were using AERO's sights (used to be linked off Mitsu's site).

FWIW, they were remade for AH2, and I'd found some others, but I personally like Waffle's sights much better. Link in JB's post.

Many thanks! This set is slightly different only in that you can't swap the san giorgio sight for the p51 sight etc., but these are VERY sweet!

[I found with the san giorgio sight in the P51 my bombs ALWAYS hit if I lined up the target where the lower part of the ring crosses the vertical line. It worked the same in any plane. Ah well, I can relearn using a proper sight).

You can swap sights.
Just go to the sights folder and open the text file for the plane you want to switch the sight for. Open the file and change the name of the .bmp file to the file name of the sight you want to use for that aircraft.
Save the text file and away you go.
