1 week until i ship out for MCRD SD. Im actually excited, i was suppose to go on the 5th of July but had to get it moved back until the 18th. Sick of sitten around bored, been running etc every day. I think ive prepared as much as i can, its something i think you can only get so prepared for.

Iwill be going into Marine Security Forces.

ill post here when i get back

Any tips or advice, questions etc.... any help is appreciated.

Dont voulenteer for anything. Make sure you help out others, and it wont hurt if some of the officers notice... just dont make it too obvious

Excell but don't stand out for anything else.

Try and get lots of mail from friends and family.

Go to church

Know your general orders JJDIDTIEBUCKLE and such prior to shipping out

I don't care what anyone says shave your head before you ship.....the barbers there are heartless. If you are recruit 220 out of 240 to get your head shaved the clippers will be dull and hot.

Good luck don't blink you might miss it.

Ah, I remember the week before I shipped out for boot. It was the week of poontang.
