(Simple request) Bf-109F-2 and G-14
« on: July 10, 2005, 04:13:12 PM »
I heard 109 and Spitfires are next for renovation after the P-47/51.

it sounds hard to do but Bf-109F-2 and G-14 are based on Bf-109F-4 and Bf-109G-6 airframes respectively.
-------------------------------------------
Short history of 109F-2/G-14

F-2: Saw action during "Channel Battle" and early Eastern front campaign.

G-14: Based on Bf-109G-6 with water - methanol booost, saw action in laate war.

Why mess around with the spits ? nothing wrong with them, should be working on perking the La-7.

From what I understand, the F-2 was worse off than the F-4. The LW cannon are already pretty weak. Imagine a 15mm cannon with the same ammo load (150 rounds) as the F-4. There'd be no end of griping.

The G14 would be ineteresting. Not as "good" as the G10, but a standardizing of all the late-war features into a single version.

However, I'd say that it'd fly a lot like the G10 does. So I'm not sure what appeal it would have.
