ive been looking at these cards on newegg and they all seems to have a firwire connection instead of a usb connection to the modem, is this what i should get?

im confused.

could you look at my specs and give me some guidence about witch card to at least look at.

im useing roadrunner with a usb connection directly to my motherboard.

Nope , your looking for a Network interface card NIC . Its a ethernet adapter that uses RJ-45 cable from your modem to the NIC. It is far better than the usb connection you are currently using. ~~38 http://www.3com.com/products/en_US/detail.jsp?tab=features&pathtype=purchase&sku=3C905CX-TX-M~~

100mbps is more than enough

100mbps is the data transfer speed, 100 MegaBites Per Second, and its the top speed.... for now
