« on: July 13, 2005, 11:08:05 AM »
i was offered a trade in the league im in...need some input though.  i give up Marvin Harrsion for Shaun Alexander or Dominik Davis...we play a 1 or 2 keeper leauge...if you keep 2, you give up first round pick...if you keep one, you have first round pick.  i was planning on keeping Harrison, but if i do the trade, ill keep either RB and Vick whom i also have....input please?

thank you.

Harrison is getting old, if someone offers Shaun Alexander, I would take it, but I am not sure of Shaun Alexander's contract situation(I heard a rumor he might hold out?)

Harrison still has lots of talent and a great QB. Keep him.

Ditto.  Harrison is a GUARANTEED 12 TDs a year, as long as Peyton is there.

Alexander MAY holdout.  He wants a more concrete contract.

Remember, he said it is a keeper league. Harrison is 33, Alexander is 28. Harrison had 15 TD's last year, Alexander had 20

Since it's a  keeper league, get alexander.  Also, I am confident there will be no holdout.  Get rid of Vick... he's wasting roster space and while he's exciting to watch, he will never produce tier 1.. maybe not even tier 2 numbers.

Alexander has said he will not play until he gets a new contract. That being said, I would take Alexander over Marvelous Marvin in a keeper league. I have found it's harder to get a top running back than it is for a reciever. They both only have 4-5 years left but Alexander's production has put him towards the top in my league for the last 3 years in total points.

p.s. Steve!!!!!!!  how's the weather down there? i saw it will be 113 today...   take care bro!

What? Alexander? no way. Keep Harrison, or grab Davis. Compare the schedule and you'll see Davis is set up for another great year.

DUDE u are kidding right ?? You got the top producing reciever in the league, nobody scores as much as marvin does, with peyton manning throwing to him... DONT TRADE HARRISON unless you can get peyton manning, or someone like that... Harrison scores allot of points

See if you can swap Vick for like Trent Green or someone like that... The chiefs score allot of points mostly through the air, if you can find the person that has Green I gaurantee they will make that trade, people mistake playing fantasy football with there hearts by picking the players they like, just look at the #'s man... Hang on to Harrison, ditch Vick

RBs are the highest point getters in the leauge(im in at least) and with the emergence of the other 2 receivers at indy, harrison didnt do was well last year as in years past.  that being said, it is much easier to find production at the WR spot than at RB, there are only so many top tier RBs in the league.

i thought about davis, but im afraid last year was a one hit wonder thing, i may be wrong.

I'll tell u a guy that will score allot of points this year at running back, don't laugh ok... Julius Jones ( Cowboys ). Kid was hurt all year last year and only played in 8 games, 4 of which at the beginning of the year he had a seperated shoulder and was too scared to tell parcells lol, he still had an awesome year, I know Parcels will use him allot this year, I know we have Drew Bledsoe now but I don't think there going to use him like Buffalo did throwing 40+ passes a game, he'll probably only get 20 attempts a game because if Parcells knows he has a good running back then he will use him allot just like he did in the last 3 games, check out his #'s for last year, go here and check out his TD's, he had 7, the league average was 2, while the leader had 17, remember he only played a few games and was rookie. He played 1/2 the season, if he would of played the whole year, would have had probably 13-14 TD's

If any of you actually think Julius Jones is a secret, you are either in a league full of dummies or are seriously kidding yourselves.
