Changing MOS

Well, I'm changing my MOS and I can't decide between:

Cav Recon
Military Police
Military Intelligence CI with a line unit.

Vote!

What about  MOSC 11B1O and using those skills to help out in Iraq?

That's what I am now.

Of course, if you'd asked before you trolled, you'd know that.

I'd say Military Intelligence CI with a line unit.  If you can get the security clearance.

Probably now even have the Bradley in Reserves/NG instead of the 113. May even get to ride one of those dirt bikes around.

Who's trolling?  I'm not.

I gave you my reply based on my take on some of your posted stances on political/military issues and mostly on your support for the invasion of Iraq.  I figured you were asking in order to get yourself into action over there.  Kind of like an honorable "putting your money where your posts are"  kind of thing.

So perhaps they have a surplus of your particular MOSC and maybe they need more, say,  prison guards? I guess one of those MOSC's would be a good choice.

Oh.  Sorry.  I thought you were trolling.  I didn't realize that you were just ignorant on military topics.

You can go overseas with almost any MOS, if they send you.

I know they can send you but I know you can request a transfer to unit heading there too.

Are you waiting to be sent? Looking for an MOSC that would increase the odds?

Or you just haven't asked for a transfer to an active duty unit over there?   Given your extreme pov I just can't imagine you hadn't requested a transfer at least once by now. It's been over two years.

What is my 'extreme pov' you are trolling about?

I've earned combat pay, thanks for asking.

"I've earned combat pay"

I did too over 20 years ago. But that and your answer are irrelevent.  Or has posting here on an almost daily basis been considered hazardous duty worthy of combat pay in your unit?

To be quite blunt your reply insinuating you've been "over there" (otherwise why even say it?) is a virtual slap in the face to all who have or are honorably receiving combat pay for duty in Iraq and Afghanistan since 9-11.

But you still dodge and sidestep the questions. How can anyone help you with a new MOSC if you refuse to elaborate and clarify your reasoning or goals for looking for a new MOSC?   Are you looking to help that effort in Iraq or trying to avoid it?

For someone who "earned combat pay" you're pretty unknowledgeable about the military.

Insinuating I've been to the middle east?  Where?  I've never been.   I guess when you have zero knowledge about the military, you aren't familiar with what is or isn't a combat zone or meets eligibility.  Pretending you've even served is a slap in the face to those who have.

You still didn't answer my question.  What is this "extreme POV" you spoke of during your trolling?

Does it have anything to do with the hypocrisy you display by trolling off topic in this thread, while condemning the same behavior in another?
