Week of July 15
« on: July 14, 2005, 09:42:42 PM »
Would have posted this sooner, but I have been (and still am) out of town.  This week's setup is mine, substituting for someone who had other commitments.  So is next week's, due to ordinary schedule.  Sorry about that.

This week will be Tunisia, same as it was a couple of months ago.  P38G, P40E, all of the Hurricanes, F4Fs on carriers with Dauntlesses, bombers of some sort for the allies, 109Es and Fs for the Germans, together with 110Cs, 202s (of course), Stukas, Ju88s, that sort of thing.  Hate to repeat the map so soon, but it works and the plane set is good.

The bad news is that I don't expect to be home until very late on Friday, so setup won't get posted until Saturday.  Will try to make it early.

Following week will be Fightertown, all axis v. all allied.  Would appreciate both input as to maps, fields, and plane set divisions (early, mid and late, or just early and late?  where to draw the line?), AND would also like folks to spread the word, so that we can see if the first time was a fluke or if it just isn't something that appeals to people.

I liked this PTO set up, too.  I felt quite competative in the Ki-84 when fighting the Allied iron.  Only wish I'd had more time to spend in there.  My parents are in town, and for some strange reason seem to expect me to keep them company, instead of playing computer games.  Strang folks, but ya gotta love 'em.

Actually I did better in the a6m than I did in the ki84. Of course that might be because smegmavores from the MA were playing allies and flying zekes. For some reason allies were able to use axis planes.  And the axis had at least one base that had unlimited planeset.

The worse news is that I tried to set it up Very Early this morning, and technical difficulties prevented me from doing so.  Have hung out the distress flag, hope to have things running when assistance shows up.

In the meantime, I reloaded Fork's Okinawa setup.

Thanks for your patience.
