Meeting Maverick
« on: July 16, 2005, 03:00:30 PM »
Hi All,

Just wanted to say that this past week my family and I had the great pleasure of getting to meet and spend time with "Maverick" and his dear wife Nancy.

They brought the worlds largest RV all the way out to Fayetteville and so we got to meet with them. My kids were thrilled to get a chance to climb into his truck. My son is 3 and thinks that next greatest thing to a truck is a "Modacycle" and here Mav had one on the back of the truck too.

Mav and his wife got to see the church and meet some members of our congregation and then came over to dinner where Mav regaled us with some incredible (and/or) hilarious tales from his life. We also got to reminisce  the old "AW" days back on Genie.

He and Nancy are great people, I highly recommend booking them if you have an upcoming dinner or other social function. ;)

Thanks for visiting Mike - please come back and visit us again!

Definitely lazs.  Even though more than half the vets I flew with weren't at the Indy con, it was an extremely memorable weekend... rooming with an islander... diving in fountains at 4am... ahem.

Looking forward to the next Texas AH con.  No interest in Texas aside from Grapevine and an extraordinary large population of good looking females.  Hey anything outside of Wisconsin is a plus. ;)

Seagoon,

Thanks a bunch for all the hospitality you and your family showed us! Lunch the next time through is definately on me and NO arguing!

It was great to meet another "personality" from the bbs besides through a keyboard. I've had the pleasure of meeting several members of TAS and look forward to meeting others while we travel. I've mentioned this in other threads especially while we were back in AZ. last winter. So far the number has been few but they were all very pleasant folks to spend tme with. Since time is one of the few things that cannot be replaced I was honored to get to meet them and hope to meet some others from "here".

For anyone in the Fayetteville NC area I strongly recomend you take a few minutes and visit Seagoon (Andrew) and see his church. He's one of the "real" folks on the bbs and an all round great guy.

The wife and I will continue to travel the country and see all the sights we can find. There are a whole lot of things to see and great people to meet. At the emd of July it's Eastern Indiana then North and West to cooler temperatures.
:)

I get to Fayetteville on occasion to visit my son at Ft Bragg.  Maybe I can say hi to Seagoon next time, if he is interested.

Definitely! Where are my manners, I should have said that anyone on the BB has an open invitation to come visit.

You don't even have to be as entertaining as Mr. and Mrs. Maverick!

Fact: Many of the major female porn stars are from the Dallas/ Ft.Worth area. Grapevine is dead smack in the middle of D/FW.

Not true. I just didn't know you were in kennedyland when we visited Bahhhhston.

We won't be getting that far NE this year. Gotta get the new trailer at the end of July and head back to the NW. It's too darn hot and humid in the central Eastern side of the country during the summer. This desert rat can't handle humidity like you guys have.
