I wonder if that B25 is the one that the Dutch test pilot, first name Edwin, cant remember last name, bought over here in the states.  We put an extra fuel tank in the bomb bay before he took it to Europe.  He wanted it for airshows, where they often would get all the fuel they could carry.

That guy is a heck of a pilot, did some awesome low level flyby's here in a Fokker F27.

Well that B25 was doing some awsome flybys. The second B25 came from Sion in Switzerland. Both were flown realy well but the Dutch one in its drab scheme looked more authentic. My Wife said the Swiss one was painted like a "tarts handbag!" :lol

Just for the record the p47 is not my pic. Don't want to take credit for something that isn't mine. Just posted it for nilsen as he was asking for 47 pics

Good article. My first visit too. Was expensive but no more than a Motorcycle GP or any other big sporting event, so I didn't think it too bad. The line up was stunning but why no pics of the Yak / LA whatever it was. I thought the guy flying the Iceland air dakota was pretty good. He was chucking it about a bit for such a big bird.

Interestingly at the DD day celebs last year I met a fellow youthworker with his youth group. They'd all trained with the dutch parachute forces and got their wings and they made a jump in 1944 Para battledress over Ranville. My wife and I were down below keeping our fingers crossed for em. They jumped from the BBMF Dakota in these pics. Think that bunch of teenagers have a very good youthworker to thank for an amazing experience!

We had an AH meetup there back in... 2001 I think.  A few of us were asking the same question and I think airmess went to the ATC Tower and asked them if it was really a Yak and not a LA-5.  The tower agreed with us, but the pilot got back to us, via the tower, and said it was definitely a Yak, but fitted with a radial.
