Thats fine, for getting someone interested in high school study. However, to better transition themselves for good jobs prior to graduation, they should offer a class that helps them speak normally so that they may have a better chance in job interviews.

at least that's what I would think the local govt is trying to tell me if I were black rather insulting if you ask me but hey That's why the blacks keep voting left of center.

It doesnt make much sense to me.....teach an inferior language to kids that should be learning english to help give them a leg up????

Pure crap.

Ebonics is pure crap, and too many blacks are now using it as an excuse for their failures instead of accepting the real truth.

Ebonics is a result of both lazy speech patterns and making up slang to seem "cool". Most of it has to do with a lazy speech pattern though, as a result of a lazy attitude.

Too often in society people now look for excuses, or to place blame on others for their problems and failures. This is no differant.

It isn't "whiteys fault". It isn't racism. (another favorite dodge of responsibility).

Telling people they dont need to learn to speak in an acceptable manner in our society is crippling them.

"Ebonics" is no different than a souther or northern dialect. Being able to use "regular" english is the difference between success and failure. Holds true for those that refuse to learn the English language at all as well.
