game is not much fun anymore

well ive been flying for 9 years now and my motto has always been loyalty.  I stayed with aol aw thru all its convulutions and finally ended the day it ended and the squad (Birds of Prey) moved here to ah.  We were always bz there and so when we showed up bish and the bish needed help we agreed to the designation.  There are only two rules in the squad as anyone who has been it can share with you....1) Have fun  2) Never country jump...a squaddie who country jumps may not rejoin.  We have busted arse to help the bish.  We recruit guys who fly missions with us.  we are perhaps the largest squad with 5 wings and over 80 members so we have been accused of hording.

UNfortunately i have reached a point where the game is not fun.  I would have quit 3 years ago except for my friends, both bish and my squaddies.  What has been happening is the bish have lost 4 sqauds to knits and rooks over the last 4 weeks.  I suspect we will lose more....the numbers last night were 90 bish 180 knits and 157 rooks...the rooks had no eny and the knits were about 15.  I could care less about perks...having a perk bonus while your vulched is useless.  I know there will be good nights and bad nights but i have nonstop defended and porked for about 3 weeks to try and slow our reset down.  I have had enuf...i hope hitech or the squad leaders will resolve this imbalance becuz i cant see it is good for the game.  i dont mind being ganged from time to time but this is brutal.  
If you care about this game you should fix it...my generation (thirty somethings) are the last group who will give a crap about ww2.  lose a bunch of us now and the game will continue to spiral in numbers.
I know from other posts ihave read that some will make fun of us not jumping as well.  That is our loyalty and honor...not to impune others...its just how we choose to play the game.

I guess clearafication to how many compose a horde would be the next question.
 
Its your squad and you determine how to effectively deploy it.
If you have 25 to 50 squadies on that night and feel you need that many to grab a base, go for it!

Well perhaps my memory is selective but i cant remember a time when the knights didnt have numbers....i also cant name any knight squads that jumped to bish in over a year. Please enlighten me if you knpow any squads that switched??  Also i never posted before when bish were ganged but had even numbers???  We can usually hold our own with even numbers..i dont acre so much about ganging....but 4 squads less is 4 less bases we can cover and inevitable reset short of porkfest every night.  the numbers are so far off im sure there are bish that logoff soon after they log on..or jump

i miss the old old aw where you didnt base take...then you could fighter or buff or tank as you wished and numbers were not as important as skills.  you didnt want to meet my p38 in the air back then =0

Well Falconwing, all I can say is that if the numbers are really turning lopsided against the Bish for a number of days and people start to notice a pattern, I'm sure some people (myself included) will start flying for you more often to help balance it.

As of right now I'm Rook as it seems they've had, on average, less people at US prime time.  But if this changes, so will I.

Hang in there, and just think of it as a different sort of challenge.  It can really be a blast fighting for the underdog once in awhile too.

LOL, you dont remember that the whole reason we have the ENY limiter thing in the first place is all the whines about Rook numbers a year ago? Howls of "Rook hordes!!! The world is ending!!" You also notice you never hear the Rooks complaining if they dont have numbers?

if you can name a rook or knit squad that has jumped and stayed bish pls let me know.   off the top of my head i can name AK's, black knights, s.e.'s, sobs, rowdy rebels, regulators, Dow as squads that have jumped in last year to year and a half.  there are prob more.  if anyone can name a squad of size that has moved bish pls let me know.  and to be honest i dont think those guys jumped becuz they hate the bish....but if you cant see we have been ganged for over a year and longer whatever the numbers were....then so be it....but it wears guys downa dn they move to where it is easier.  i think the ak's were the only squad i know that jumped becuz they moved to a more difficult country aks...i can respect that

Im trying to understand what you're trying to say. Have you seen the Damned go anywhere? Do you actually think the knits are any better or the rooks? Just cause they have a few more people up doesn't mean they're any better. You guys have the most targets of anyone. Why would you whine about that? I'm ashamed that a guy who's professed to have flown 9 years can't deal with uneven numbers. I gather you must have been an RR dweeb too? No offense but learn to deal with it.

lol yes i was a rr dweeb...i guess not having money and flying with a fr of 8 becuz i had no money back then would qualify me as one.  Hell i couldnt even land.  first time i loaded the game, on my computer at work i thought it wqas broken becuz everything moved so fast.

but you know what i played the game becuz i loved it so much.  for you guys who arent old enuf there was a time when dogfiting on atari was the best you could get.  AW was a dream come true and guys like me paid $2 an hour!!! just to experience it...then it went free thank god.

Not sure what you mean about your squad??? i think squads should stay put...imbalances the game whenone jumps of any size??

I have to say..C HAWKS were Cz from the start in AW hence the name "C" Hawks. And Knights since we started in AH. 15 1/2 years now and we never country jumped. So I know how you feel. From that perspective, the Knights were heavily outnumbered for months at a time to the point that several of our squaddies felt just as you do now.

The AKs jumped to Knight during one of those periods when we were getting constantly pounded as  a matter of fact. Now they are somewhere else.

It will continue to cycle as it always has. Then a knight or rook will be making this post as you are now. But it won't be me

I'll be one of those that will switch to bish when it gets out of whack.

I hate to break it to ya Falcn, but every side has gone through this, it isn't new nor limited to the bish.

Do something irritating to make a statement like take your entire squad of 50-80 guys and up 262s or Temps and people will take the hint (having 262 cost under 100 perks is a nice bonus).
