The ACLU isn't the kind of organization that everyone should agree with.  If everyone liked it, it wouldn't be doing its job.  Same with the NRA.  Our rights as US citizens are being eroded, and groups like the NRA and the ACLU are powerful forces to try and protect them.  I'm a member of both.  I don't agree with everything both do, but I do feel that each has a positive net effect on me keeping my rights.  Love 'em?  Fine.  Hate 'em?  Fine.  Need 'em?  Yep.
