ping times
« on: July 22, 2005, 06:49:59 AM »
lately  I've seen an increase in my game ping time from 60  to 90  and it also jumps around from 90 to 100-110 back to 90 and then 100-110  it even hit 120 nothing but a constant jumping around.  I check my trace to the server and it is between 60 and 70.   I thought trace and ping would show the same numbers +/- a few but not a 30 point difference and then jump up and down like it does.  Any ideas out there??

Skuzzy Writes above in "connection hints and tips"

Quote
1) Your ping is some what irrelevant to the servers. If it is below 300ms, then you are golden. I see complaints from people complaining about thier ping going from 10 to 60. To Aces High, you have the same connection at those rates.

Have a look at the Sticky above " internet connection hints and tips". It's very useful. Pplanes "warping" can be caused by problems at their end.
