Enjoy a week without me :D

Not a family trip this time. Delivering a 40 footer with three mates down to Arendal for the X-Yachts Gold Cup regatta. Boat belongs to an old shipmate of mine (harrr). Going together with another boat in the same class some of the way and we will make it a race.

Not gonna participate in the regatta myself but its gonna be a blast. Trip could be done in a couple of days or even in one stint but we have 8 days and we will use them all. First long trip with my friends since i got Mia so im really looking forward to this.

Hoping for lots of wind and little rain, the boat has little in the way of luxury but its fast. Just hope i we dont park it on some rocks ;)

Leaving all the gadgets behind except for the cellphone.

harrr

Now I know you're not actually a sailor.

Ever sailed drunk lasersailor? Didnt think so ;)

The whole point is that we are going to rig and deliver the boat to the guys who are racing it so we are just glad to get the "job".

Look at it like this, Nilsen:

In a rag-boat you crash at 10 knots, in a powerboat you can be making 30.  Drink on the rag boat and not on the powerboat.  Hint. Hint.

Or look like it like this:

In a powerboat you sit still. In a sailboat you move around a cluttered deck with ropes and winches. It doesnt stop if you fall in either.

I would hpe the first order of business for your crew would be a man overboard drill, but your point is taken.
