Rivets in PSP
« on: July 24, 2005, 04:21:15 PM »
I know this question has been asked a million times already, but here goes again.

Does anyone know of a good setting in PSP7 that will allow for single pixel rivets to be spaced every 4 pixels or so?

I've been experimenting and all I can come up with are 2 pixel dashes.

If anyone has anything, it would be greatly appreciated.

Salute United,

Not sure about PSP bud.  In Photoshop I select a round pencil 1 pixel size and use 300% spacing.  Works out about the same.  Do you have control over % spacing in PSP?

Unfortunately, no.  All I can do is select from a limited amount of preset line styles and make a line.

Tried it.  I've got at least 30 different custom lines I've made and none of em are what I'm looking for.

But, I think I've got something close enough.

Thanks for the help yall.

Draw a solid line and then erase gaps in it of the size required.  Tedious but I think it works.

Then save it, paste it,  rotate it, add end to end, or whatever, you then have your rivets.
Or pen tool 1 pixel in size.
Just make a string of em, 5 or 6, then connect 2 or 3 strings, save em and you can use them as I mentioned.. rotating etc. :)

Here you go, 1 pixel then 4 blanks, etc...

Put it the psp/styled lines folder.
Most of the people you meet in life are like slinkies. Pretty much useless, but still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Excellent!

Thats just what I was looking for.  Thanks a ton!

Only thing is that it still does the dash when made a straight line up.  But, not a problem.  :)

i use psp for my rivits. i find it better than photoshop..you have to make your own template though..its also good to make it in vector graph before converting it to rasta..
