Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault
« on: July 24, 2005, 10:16:44 PM »
Anyone hear that this is potentially the buggiest game that EA has ever released? I, for the life of me, cannot get it to run on my PC despite far exceeding the requirements to do so. I launch the game and it looks like all is well then the game just crashes to the desktop without so much as an error message. Nothing seems to work to get it to launch. I also read on other BBS that I am far from being the only one with this problem. Anyone else experience this annoyance?

Ditto, I had the DVD version.  I never once came upon a bug.

Yeah, they were almost painful.  But other than that, the game was great.

Ive abandoned my Medal of Honor past to my new ways of Call of Duty. Only thing wrong I found was the mp44 was the uber weapon compared to the rest.

Maybe its because I have the CD-ROM version as opposed to the DVD-ROM

DVD version here, game ran like silk from start to end.
Agree the air segments sucked badly, but the rest of the game was cool.....more an interactive story than a game.
The 'bayonet the bastards' option was cool too.

I do vaguely recall something about vertical sync settings when combined with AI/AA filtering causing probs. Sorry , can't be more specific, was a while ago, i dont even have it installed anymore.

You have the option in close combat to use your rifle butt and/or bayonet to attack the enemy.

I don't know what else to try, I'm about at my wits end just getting this game to run and I haven't even been successful with THAT yet. EA Technical support is no help, either.

For this much effort this game had better be brilliant.

No game ever gave me goosebumps.

That one moment where you hear whistles and then they come up over the hill.  Wow.

Well, your computer is better than mine in every category.

Although you could try running the game through the other CD Rom drive.  Just a thought though.
