how is the control of the AI squadmates, can you name them like in falcon 3? That was one of the biggest annoyences when i tried f4 years ago, that I was in an air force squadron full of random koreans, that I had no care of what happened to them.

Drex - one could say i'm an F4 guy... I only fly Campaigns though, not into dogfighting or F16-Quake as I call it..

Would be glad to start a new Campaign online with you, just need Teamspeak or Ventrillo for Comms..

Are YOU in for a shock.. The PDF manual is 700 pages, i've been playing this for over 7 years (on/off) and there is a TON I don't know about inside this sim! In fact, its so complex I would bet that NO ONE has a 100% handle on all thats available in this sim.

Turns a lot of people off, you have to take the time and effort to learn the basics. Having a friend (or squaddie!) that is available to walk you through the million questions helps a lot. So does joining one of the better online squads, like Freebirds.

I'm a campaign guy myself but my new kick
is fighting 2 mig29s at ace level with rear aspect missles only.  I'll throw a mig21 in the mix once in awhile to make it tougher.
been recording the fights with fraps and has been a great time.

I havent done the Campaign thing but I am enjoying the airstrikes on enemy airbases with a bunch of multiplayer players helping out.  Usually I'll lug the anti-runway bombs and 3 or 4 of the guys will haul some ordinance for the SAMs while a few maintain CAP to cover our flight to/fro.

New Patch is out too.  136k.  Fixes a LOT.

Picked it up myself and played my first balkans campaign mission. I gotta say that Falcon may finally be what we all hoped t would be back in 98.

I don't have any idea how many hours I spent shooting up panamanians, syrians and Iraqis in Falcon 3.0. I bought a brand new 486 with math co-processor just so I could fly with the "ultra-realistic" hi-fidelity flight model.

whats up sancho, you bandit.  It does have native TR support, but its not as good as AH2, Lomac, etc...  Padlock is smooth though.  You need to get it anyways :)
