Black Squares
« on: July 27, 2005, 06:59:41 AM »
 Recent computer crash forced me to re-format hard drive. Nw that I'm back on line all of the opponent planes show as a black square under their icon. This seems to be at a range of 2.0K and beyond.  I am running a iti rage pro driver. Can't seem to update, or is this the problem. Can anyone send a link to me? Keep in mind I am not the most computer savy guy so keep it simple.  Example; took two days to load driver for my cable modem.

thanks

Definitely is video driver problem.  Maybe someone can link you to an update for the card, but if Im not mistaken, isnt that a very old card?  May have troubles finding one..or if your lucky, maybe someone here has a driver burned to disk and can send it to you.

Ok,  im assuming you are running winxp..here's the link:
https://support.ati.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=894&task=knowledge&folderID=27

Make sure you delete your oteher driver before installing the new one.  Also, have you installed the latest directx 9.0C?  you'll need that too and can find that at Microsoft.com

hum, the above link doesnt take you to a subfolder like I thought it would, but just choose your operating system, then under "RAGE" catagory, you will find the rage pro drivers
