You have to look very closely, and ofcourse, it's not enabled at land-based fields

Well if we're gonna get subs, then we need PBY's or Short
Sunderlands.  Anybody know if the FW200 condor was ASW
capable, or was it just a patrol aircraft?  Or maybe a Destroyer.

We would need water in the game before HT could even consider adding subs. Then of course, we would need depth charges. I'd be all for depth charges. I'd lob them at everthing.

Subs have been a popular idea for ages, but I seriously doubt we'll ever get them.

Depth charges would kill frame rates IMO. Plus they would have to redo water making it seeable threw from the air. its good idea, but I rather see more planes getting redone. Then maybe that later.

No subs...take WAY too long to do...if they decided to do it we will wait at least 6 months for it and by then eveyone would forget about it. Plus just as jet said it will kill the FR for somepeople.




But the main reason is i dont want to be shot at while takeing off:D

just exactly how would  FR be hindered???  Under water has far fewer graphics unless  you think there is going to be aquatic life, sea-weed,  and  a bazillion shades of blue.  Rediculous comment.  As far as redoing planes,  I could really give a rats-#$$  if the cockpit and exterior get more detail,  does nothing at alll for improvement on the game.  That's my opinion.  I prefer my eye-candy in the form of (censored),   must be an age thing I guess.

unless HT made the see threw water like that there would be someone whining about the inadquicies of the modeling of the water. i'm sure the thermal layers would be brought up... and of course since Dale has never been the captian of a WWII submarine, he can not possibly model them right. the german subs will be too fast. the allies with have a sub that out turns a PT boat, and catches the german sub in a zoom to the surface.  the blast radius of the depth charges will be all wrong. i am sure someone will come along with underwater footage of a depth charge, showing the actual damage zone being a full 2 feet wider than the ones HTC has modeled.

only subs in AH have a 5" dia hull so they can operate in the 6" deep oceans here.

First we need to conscript some little people (midgets) so that they can man the tiny submarines that could submerge in water that's only 1ft. deep.



HT already said he was thinking about giving us subs, after he dealt with the water depth. That was a long time ago however, and subs seem to have lost out to TOD.
