I wished the '06 mustang's engine could have been a bit more quiet and sophisticated like Honda's  VTECH. The current mustang engine sound it makes during idle is a throwback from the 60s guzzler (lol)

Finally.. a car that dosent look like a flipped over bathtub with the legs knocked off.

saw a Yellow one the other day.. was the first new car i've given a second look at in years. Guess the guy got his money's worth.. I looked. ;)

Ik3 , that's probably why the first thing those rice ricer do is to put a loud exaust:rofl

Anyway,  like this little rubbling, the vibrations. My best friend has a 1975 Vette, and a 3000GT. The only thing he does not like about the 3000 is that you don't feel the car as much as the vette. It's like driving on cloud. The Vette, as well as my old 73 Formula, shakes, screams, scouics and gives you all those cool feedback that contribute to your driving excitment. To each his own fun, but when I pull the Formula out of the driveway, i feel like I should be wearing racing gloves and some cool Steve McQ glasses. I don't get that driving the $33K Acura TSX.

I feel you Hangtime, that the reason why the new 400HP GTO was a no-go for me :(

It's SUPPOSED to sound like a 60's muscle car. It's called RETRO.

I'm sure you know about gay Funked :

... The symbolism probably escapes most people, but to a gay man or woman the new Subaru ad speaks volumes. On billboards and buses in the US, Subaru models have bumper stickers showing a blue-and-yellow equal-sign, the logo of the Human Rights Campaign, a gay advocacy group. In ads with the slogan "Different Drivers. Different Roads. One Car," the Subaru vehicles also have personalised license plates, XENA LVR and P-TOWNIE. (Translation: The TV show "Xena: Warrior Princess" has a large lesbian following; P-TOWNIE refers to Provincetown, a gay mecca on Cape Cod in Massachusetts.),

"It's sort of like our little secret," says Tim Bennett, marketing-services manager at Subaru of America Inc., a unit of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. of Japan. "It's clever and not offensive, and if you're in the know, you chuckle."

By the way "Subaru" used to be Nakajima Aircraft co (Ki-84, Ki-43 for example :)) during the 40s, changed later in the 60s and built  heavy industry stuff

I think Ford did an awesome job with the new Mustang. They did a very nice job of being retro while being new.  Especially after seeing GM and Chrysler continually resurrect proud, bold names for some damn hideous four door commuter sleds, rice burner wannabees buried in mountain of plastic add ons and some laughable, tequila inspired pick'em up trucks.

The big question is will Dodge, sponsored by Geritol, get thier ugly, four door"middle aged-man" sedan reincarnated under the name of "Charger" out in time for a "Seniors" reunion race?
