Unseeable bases
« on: July 27, 2005, 05:44:40 PM »
now all u know when u pull up the map u see all the bases enemy and urs...well how about u have to find them first. example a knight finds an enemy base then all the knights will have the position on the map where that base is located...and u have to damage the base to upload it to the clipboard. sounds a little silly to me at first but think about it. in real life did they know where ALL the enemy bases were? no. and now factories, cities, HQ wont be hit very early into the war. what u guys think?

That's a nice idea IMO.

The only problem is it would be a very short lived "egg hunt."
IMO i would take a day at the utter most before the feature was made moot by being "gamed."
Squads and other players would send thier friends out to the two other sides to report back on all of the base positions.
And that info will spread rapidly via email and I could guarantee at least one squad or person will post the map all filled out up on a website.

AW4W had a hidden base...B82.  Not that it remained hidden for long.  Even had a few hidden bunkers, though of no use.
