I think what the profile maker took for the anti glare is actually the reflection of the prop on the natural metal.  If it's an anti glare then it's really just a vary narrow strip.  The profile maker has his too low as well if in fact there is one.

But if you look at the top image of the two I posted and follow the inner edge of the cowl, there seems to be no sign of that anti-glare, only a slight change where the prop blade reflects.

There are other photos of 318th FG birds and some clearly have the anti-glare and some don't.

Compare the one below with the top image of Miss Mary Lou.  There is clearly a line on this one, while the other looks not so clear yet the images were taken from the same angle essentially at more then likely by the same camera at the same time.

It appears in the same place in all of those photos and I think it is too dark to be a reflection of the prop.


Made the changes you pointed out.

Looks good :)  Safe bet either way with the anti-glare I'd think.  Looks right with it on
