So where has she been through all this anyway?

Imagine if she were president right now?

I saw her next to the mayor of New York, when he is speaking, at the opening of the stock exchange when others were being honored.  I too wonder why the media isn't on her like maggots on a carcus devouring her every word!!

I saw a 30 second interview with her.  The gist of it was "We stand united behind the President 100%".

I've seen her on many TV news shows in the last week. Honestly I have to say, even though I have never agreed with anything that she gas ever said, that she has impressed me in the last week.  She has said NOTHING critical about Bush and said that she supports him 100% and agrees 100% with everything he has said and done since the tragedy. She also said that she admired the way Mrs. Bush is handling this too.

Of course my politics dictate that I still disagree with her on domestic issues, but I have been impressed with the way she has presented herself over the last week, Bill too.

We're all 1 people now and that's living proof of it to me.....

I've seen her several times with the Mayor/Gov., and on several programs making short statements to the effect of 'we're in this together'.

"Imagine if she were president right now?"

I'm sure the Conservatives would be backing her, with the same 100% support that she is giving Bush.

Liberal, Conservative... it doesnt matter. This nation has been attacked... and I think these indiv's understand that. I think a certain famous guy that reportly flew kites in electric storms said something to the effect that "Assurdly we must all hang togather or we WILL all HANG togather..."

Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".

Should I assume you guys are just shooting the toejam, trying to find levity in a time of crisis?  Or, are you really trying to chip away at what unity this country has right now?

They are attempting to brand liberals as "Not really American and not standing with us."  :(

Its nice to have ones countrymen spew hate at you in times of crisis.  :(

I have seen an awful lot of anti-liberal spewing on the internet in the last few days.  There are a huge number of assuptions that people make about liberals that are dead wrong or simply uninformed opinions.

For some reason the idea has gotten out that Liberals just want to roll over and play dead when confronted with adversity, just like those Liberals Abraham Lincoln and Franklin D. Roosevelt did.  Oh, wait, they didn't.

What I see are a nation of patriots.  It is just that some of the patriots, weren't, until last Tuesday.

To suck up to terrorists in an attempt to assure your "legacy", is not what I would consider to be patriotism.  I am glad, however, that certain factions in our political system can restrain themselves when they must.  The true test will be 6, 9 24 months down the road.
