Nice start! Three things.

1. Nose art looks blurry.
2. Chips look blurry.
3. Add shine.

I guess I'm just too afraid of really screwing up big, but I end up doing it anyways.

I usually get by with 7 or 8 layers, I dont know how many I used for this one.
look in second SS, tell me you don't see shine...

Raptor, I think what skychimp is talking about isn't the shine you get in the game engine, it's that sometimes a skinner will put a "faux" shine at highlighted places on a metal aircraft's fuselage/wings, usually where an aircraft bows up (or out).

I think it looks good Raptor =) Used to 7 layers? I wish! lol

There is something to the metal that feels "wrong".

I cant put my finger on it but if you wana you could send me the template and Ill have a look at the metal layers and we will see what we can work out together.

i personally think it looks spot on..
i have never NEVER seen a a pic of a all metal plane that looks shiny.. only the air show crowd polish them up..
where as skychimp is more shiny it looks too shiny and fake..
just my opinion..
