Yes brand new CH Pro USB stuff is expensive, I paid just over $300 for the whole setup two years ago, but over the years I have gotten to the point that I will NOT[/b] mess around with cheap stuff (Logicrap), or modifying expensive stuff (Cougar).

Back in the old days when the TM stuff first came out, I got one of the first FCS/WCS/RCS setups they had (think it was '92ish). TM is all I used for about five years, I had it all FLCS16 etc. It was cool, but the quality was garbage, pots were chitty and spiked even when brand new.

Now, I will (and did) pay extra for something I can use immediately, and for years to come with no issues. Buying cheaper stuff is false economy, you think you are saving money, but in the long run you are not.

And CH takes care of you!

I know this because I've had some minor stuff and Mike at CH has seen to it that my probblems were takin care of and even personally test it before it was returned.

SO IMHO you can't go wrong with CH gear.  Worth the expense in the long run, and IMHO in the short run too.

Perhaps so, Grits, and I see your logic, but it involves having the capital in advance, anyways. And for people with lots of bills, and stockpiling of money for CH gear will undoubtedly be used on bills before there's enough for CH gear.

I used a mini torch on the X45 spring, just barely touching the side of the spring.  After about 5 treatments the spring was much better.

Just tried the wax paper trick from the previous post and that really helped too!
