It makes sense. I often find myself not paying attention to what she says so much as the sound of her voice. It is soothing like a song.
Like music. It explains why I've got into so much trouble over the years for forgetting what she asked me to do.

At least I have a scientific excuse now. Best of all she is a scientist herself so she has to understand? Surely................maybe! :confused:

yep... have been saying that for years.. womens voices are pleasant... like music.  You really have to strain to figure out what they are saying.   For years there were very few women radio anouncers or dj's.   now there are and radio is pretty much dead.

It's kinda funny as it has been my experiance that I could hear a female dispatcher far better than the male dispatchers on the radio.

Strange - I understood that the cockpit warnings ("altitude" etc.) used a female voice because the male pilots were more responsive to it.

In the book "starship Troopers" the author has them hearing a female captian's voice as the last thing before they are shot out.  somthing about hearing something that is soothing before you get shot like a bullit in the upper atmospher.

And true woman dispatcher allways seem to come through more over a radio.  Even ATC/ground controlers if you ask me.  

maybe it's because men are subconciously undressing them or wondering what they look like naked behind that radio ;)

Maybe it's my youthful incompetance but I think you need to enjoy your woman's voice as well as the many other things when you marry her.  Who wants to listen to The Nanny all day, I would quickly become annoyed and not even want to hear her talk.

It's a bit more complex than that: men listen to the first few words a woman says and then make judgement decision: from the tone of voice you can tell whether it's important to listen (e.g. because you might get sex out of it, or something is about to cost you a large amount of money)  or not (the colour of curtains, what Jane said about Sally on the phone last night etc.)

That site is loaded with some bad cookies folks (doubleclick.net).  Make sure to run an Adaware scan if you hit it.  Only about 5 cookies, but doubleclick.net is one of the worst.

Glad to see Im not alone with that thought.
I have coem to the conclusion they arent truely happy unless they have something to complain about.

I always advise to never or only occasionally change whatever it is your wife/girlfriand complains about as once you do they simply find something new to complain about.
That way there are no surprises.

Also be very very careful about what you do change in the vain attempt to stop her from complaining. As they have a very nasty habit of expanding on their previous complaint if you do.
Meaning for example that complaint you get about missing the clothes hamper with your socks can very quicly turn into you should be doing all the laundry. Then folding and putting them all away.
Then you willl wish that all she was complaining about was your socks on the side of the hamper.

Remember. They only have as much power as you give them.

I have ta go now. The buzzer just went off on the dryer.;)
