Hi folks,
Squadron COs, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE grant squad invitation priveleges to more than 1 or 2 of your squad members in the Special Events Arena. It seems we've been spending an aweful lot of time during the final minutes before ( and even after ) the scheduled start time walking people through the procedures of setting up squads and getting invites and relogging to make the roster look all nice and purty. Try to grant such priveleges to those who consistantly are at the events ( bonus if they are present 15+ minutes before launch time ).
If you're concerned about how squad membership in the MA and/or CT might be affected by squad membership in the SEA ( Special Events Arena ) don't be. They are completely separate databases. No membership or related priveleges from one carries over to the other.
To grant such priveleges, simply go to the O'club, Squad, click on the person's name you wish to change priveleges, mark the Invite box, and click refresh. ( You may want to consider eject privs too, just in case ).
The person who defined/founded the squad can never be ejected from the squad. The only way that can happen is if the founder disbands the squad.
Also, you may notice a 'no squad' entry in the logs for sombebody who was, in fact, signed in before launch. I think this happens when the logs are started before the person has been signed in to the squad.
Anyway, I hope this clears up some concerns. If you are not a CO of your squad, please bring this to their attention.
With all the excitement the event has, the stress of something as simple as showing up in a squad shouldn't have to be.
