Crash To Desktop
« on: August 06, 2005, 11:08:55 PM »
I have been getting more and more crashes every day, when I don't crash I usually freeze up.  I can't even get out of the game when this happens.  I have to reset the pc.

I have checked for spyware and used a few different programs to clean it.  I have run a few different virus scan programs and now come up clean.  I uninstalled my video card and drivers then replaced the original nvidia drivers with omega drivers.  Next, I completely uninstalled AH II and reintsalled a fresh download.  I still either freeze or CTD.

any suggestions??

please help..only playing for 5 mins makes my addiction worse.

thanks

Post or email your direct x diagnostic report for Skuzzy to look at.  See directions on how to do it in the sticky at the top of the forum if you dont know how.  Too many things can cause a CTD to diagnose with no info.

Hey Jolly read my post above about cleaning out your pc. I was having same type problem. Mine was caused by dust/crud collection on fans. Trying giving a thorough cleaning and see if it helps.

Redid the test and did all the display and sound tests.  E-mail them to the support address.

I had this issue - my problem was a bad Power Supply as far as I know.  I replaced a RAIDMAX 420W with a ThermalTake 420W and the problem went away.

I also found i could reduce the occurence of the crashes by clocking my Gfx card memory speed down about 10-15%.

GL with the fix.

I have been getting alot of Acehigh.exe errors since this latest patch.  Infact I got 1 lastnight and lost 12 kills in a tiger.  Never had these until last patch.
