Someone started substituting the O with a P.  It means Owned.  Which essentially means, you got your bellybutton kicked.

Or as in, I own you.  Or you got schooled.

instead of "you got served" it became "you got owned"

Its pronounced owned. Not pawned. Even though its looks like it should be. I heard years ago it was a common typo where the O and P are so close on the keyboard. PWN has been around a very long time. The first I saw it was back 4 years ago in WW2OL.

  It was gay then..its just old and gay now.

Filth you're a young'un then, it's been around for a longer time than that... It generally gets started by the AOL script kiddy wannabe crowd (or the equivelant thereof) and spelling it that way indicates you are at LEAST 25 IQ points below the norm and/or are 8 years old and think talking "leet speak" is cool.

The ONLY person that should ever be allowed to use leet speak is Pyro on megatokyo, but only him because he's mentally insane.
