All jokes aside. I think it's because American Muslims are not inclined to attack their country. I said before that the attack when it comes will be from someone born in America.  Either the sons or daughters of immigrants from an Arabic country or more likely a white or black American convert. Converts as a rule tend to be more enthusiastic than people born into a religion.

I also think the whole American thing of flag waving, 'I pledge allegiance...' , 'proud to be an American', stuff that is indoctrinated into kids from youth has it's effect. While Europeans often smirk at all this overt patriotism. It works and is the best way to keep united as wildly diverse a country that the USA is.

The more American you feel the less likely you are to betray 'your' country.

In Britain after the London bombings there have been strong suggestions that Britain copy the United States in it's promotion of a strong patriotic tradition among it's people. It was frowned on for a long time because the extremists and the racists had hijacked the flags and symbols. The same could be said for a lot of European countries.

But as I said when the next attack in the continental USA comes. It will probably come from a convert who is neither Arab or Asian.

Im not so sure it means nothing as much as the fact that no matter what things are done if someone wants to do something bad enough  for long enough. eventually they will.

Im sure part of it may have to do with luck. Getting the right info at the right time or getting the right info and being able to make sence of it before something happens as opposed to after ALA 9/11

Sure, some is luck, but it's not all luck, implying it is, also implies all the things that have changed like the patriot act mean nothing, and if thats the case why do we have them?
