Little Kings or Rolling Rock.  I just prefer Ale.  Barring that, the new Bud Select isnt bad.  Bud Light is kinda watery, but it'll do if its ice cold and nothing else is available.  Coors Light I might as well drink out of the water fountain.  Except the beer was at least filtered.  But then the water is free.  Tough choice.  Guess it depends on the quality of the water.  :)

ALL AMERICAN BEERS ARE INFERIOR TO THE GLORIOUS BREWS OF GERMANY!!

look at the facts: true beer has 3-4 ingredients-> hops, water, barley and malt. most american beers have about 50 ingredients. personally i like german house-style beers and guinness.

Miller is deffinatly b3tter than Budwiser.

Miller is a gentle and tasty beverage that i can enjoy from time to time. Getting wasted on it is not an option tho.

Bud's are like wimmin... you can get enough of them.

i hope the general public never finds out that miller may or may not be beer.  why?  because they pay $2.05 per mile to drag it from Ft. Worth, Texas to Phoenix, Az.  isnt Rolling Rock brewed in Latrobe, Pa.? you ever seen the raging latrobe river?

In Germany it would not be legal to sell miller or budweiser as beer. Unless it was the real budweiser.

http://www.budweiser-beer.net/budvar.htm

WTF is MGD anyway? Lager, pilsner or ale? One can't tell by tasting it.

Life's too short to drink bad beer.

Malt can be made from grains other than barley and it’s still beer, for example German Weizenbier.

The only other grain allowed by Reinheitsgebot is wheat, even though wheat isn't mentioned in it. Finings also are not prohibited by the purity law.

The Complete Reinheitsgebot Text  Translated

We hereby proclaim and decree, by Authority of our Province, that henceforth in the Duchy of Bavaria, in the country as well as in the cities and marketplaces, the following rules apply to the sale of beer:

From Michaelmas to Georgi, the price for one Mass [Bavarian Liter 1,069] or one Kopf [bowl-shaped container for fluids, not quite one Mass], is not to exceed one Pfennig Munich value, and

From Georgi to Michaelmas, the Mass shall not be sold for more than two Pfennig of the same value, the Kopf not more than three Heller [Heller usually one-half Pfennig].

If this not be adhered to, the punishment stated below shall be administered.

Should any person brew, or otherwise have, other beer than March beer, it is not to be sold any higher than one Pfennig per Mass.

Furthermore, we wish to emphasize that in future in all cities, markets and in the country, the only ingredients used for the brewing of beer must be Barley, Hops and Water. Whosoever knowingly disregards or transgresses upon this ordinance, shall be punished by the Court authorities' confiscating such barrels of beer, without fail.

Should, however, an innkeeper in the country, city or markets buy two or three pails of beer (containing 60 Mass) and sell it again to the common peasantry, he alone shall be permitted to charge one Heller more for the Mass of the Kopf, than mentioned above. Furthermore, should there arise a scarcity and subsequent price increase of the barley (also considering that the times of harvest differ, due to location), WE, the Bavarian Duchy, shall have the right to order curtailments for the good of all concerned.

My question for any germans or anybody familiar with Germany, can a "beer" made with adjuncts, for example oatmeal stout, be sold in Germany as long as it is labeled something other than beer?
