:D

Background:

Been at this place since Feb.  Small company.  Technical director is a moody SOB, always has been.  Moral in the place is crap and has been for years.

Back in March I had my appraisal meeting with the T.D. and I made it quite clear that I take a very dim view of 'unprofessional behaviour'.....and he agreed with me strongly.  I don't think he understood that I was talking about him.

Anyway, had a few run ins over the months. Nuthin too serious. This one time there was some panic going on about information needed for one of the salesmen, the T.D. and I were going through databases and the salesman who needed the info walked into the engineering dept........T.D. turns round to him and says:

"Don't follow me around like a school boy, I'll get back to you when I'm ready."

And the salesman looked a bit sheepish and walked out of the room again.

I just looked at him.......eventually he said "Was I a bit harse with Rich then?"

To which I replied "Yes you were and if you ever talk to me like that you'll be picking up your teeth and be putting an ad in the job page again."

And he went and apologised to the guy.

He's one of those who's all mouth until someone stands up to him then he shuts up.

Anyway, rabbiting on here.

Found myself another job which starts 1st week of Sept, doubled my salary and I've only gotta work 12 days a month as well.  Handed my notice in start of this month and he wasn't happy. Hasn't been happy since.  Been like a bear with a sore head and today was the last straw.

Off he went on one of his tirades until I piped up:

"THAT IS IT![/b].  You don't get to talk to me like that, I've had enough of your ****.  You can find some other monkey to abuse and you can stick your job where the sun don't shine cos I QUIT!."

And walked out.

God I feel better now.

Taking **** from pinheads is bad for your mojo, ruins yer digestion, stunts yer growth.

Telling pinheads they've pissed you off and informing them in loud not un-certain terms the unconditional penalty for their error in assuming you'd put up with dickwad treatment is good for your mojo, improves digestion, increases your lung capacity.

Makes for a long and interesting resume, too.

Heh, WTG Swoop. You can always rely on this board to try to steal away what small (or huge) satisfactions you come across in life. "Misery love company", it is said.:aok

So I'll STOP trying to get my client to give that company some business now will I?

;)

Luckily he hasn't done much about it anyway other than to give me some comments on that web-site info.

Anyway...sounds like you have a month to rest up.  Enjoy.:)

Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.
My woman done left,
An' took all the reasons I was workin' for.
You better not to try to stand in my way,
As I'm a walkin' out the door.
Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.

I've been workin' in this fact'ry,
For nigh on fifteen years.
All this time, I watched my woman,
Drownin' in a pool of tears.
An I've seen a lot of my good folk die,
Had a lot of bills to pay.
I'd give the shirt right off of my back,
If I had the guts to say.

Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.
My woman done left,
An' took all the reasons I was workin' for.
You better not to try to stand in my way,
As I'm a walkin' out the door.
Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.

Well, that foreman, he's a regular dog,
The line boss is a fool.
Got a brand new flat-top haircut;
Lord, he thinks he's cool.
One of these days, I'm gonna blow my top,
And sucker, he's gonna pay
Lord, I can't wait to see their faces,
When I get the nerve to say:

Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.
My woman done left,
An' took all the reasons I was workin' for.
You better not to try to stand in my way,
As I'm a walkin' out the door.
Take this job and shove it,
I ain't workin' here no more.

Take this job and shove it.
Apparently, one in five people in the world are Chinese. And there are five people in my family, so it must be one of them. It's either my mum or my dad. Or my older brother, Colin. Or my younger brother, Ho-Chan-Chu. But I think it's Colin. - Tim Vine.
