If bin Laden gets on the cover, you'l see that image waved all over the place in third world countries.

I see your point though I do not share your concern - those people seem to have ample supply of OBL portraits available without need to rip off Time covers.
But if you still have reservation about even a remote chance of them using a portrait printed with your financing (through subscription), there is probably an easy way to make sure that his portrait cannot be used by them for the purpose you've described. Like displaying him hanging in the noose with his tongue sticking out or something similar.

OBL may still qualify. I am sure he has been buying wifes of only the highest quality.

Miko's right.  OBL should be on the cover, but potrayed in his current state.  A cowering rat holed up in a cave somewhere, with the good guys coming for his scrawny lil' ass.

  Death is too easy for OBL tho.  Time for some cruel and unusual punishment...

how you feel about him isnt part of the criterion.

the "award" is issued to the biggest pot stirrer basically, don't get hung up on semantics.

If they change it from man of the year to corpse of the year I can live with it.
