Early in Abraham Licoln's public life, he was walking with a friend when another person on the street started to insult and harangue him, for his stand on a paticicular issue of the day. He didn't respond at all.
When they were further down the road his friend turned and asked Lincoln why he hadn't yelled back.
Lincoln turned to his friend and asked him, "If you're walking by a field and a love muffin brays at you, do you bray back?"
Just something I remember form a book I read.
I've only used the squelch once since I came online in January of this year. If someone squeakes at me, I just ignore them.
