Take Away "looking over the cowl" view
« on: August 14, 2005, 05:15:09 PM »
was it actually possible to look up and over below or around the nose/cowl of your plane in WWII? I mean geezz wasn't a pilot strapped in? or did he fly with his canopy open so he could stand in his seat and look over the cowl to get that deflection shot?

always found this looking over and/or around the cowl/nose a bit gamey.......bout same as marking your monitor with a dot for your crosshairs/gunsight

YMMV
"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC
