Seems some are worried about the possible violence such a thing could allow to happen ............

The state of our legal system is not at it's best IMHO.
The report is that too many restraining orders are issued when not needed. In many cases it is reported that no threat is,or has been, made but the judge issues one automatically if the plantiff is female and ask. The male doesn't even get a hearing. Some think this is fine. I do not. IMHO It ignores due process and equal protection under the law. It leaves many with a mark on they record they don't deserve because they never made any threat of violence. Even saw one report of GrandParents getting a restraining order against them because it upset the mother to have the children visit with the grandparents. Will try to find the link.
If our system was working correctly, all parties getting a hearing regarding such matters. Witness's called if needed etc. then think it might be better.
Yet if anyone is being threatened with violence IMHO the person threatened should get an automatic concealed weapons permit issued with the restraining order. BUT the matter should be dealt with using due process and equal protection under the law.
