What Grunherz said. Time stood still for that program while the world of simming did not.

Terrain looks good.  Planes don't look so good.

Visual ain't all that though.  How does it fly?  Damage models?  AI pilot capability?  Gameplay (missions) immersive?  need more info.  need demo.   :)

It sucks.  EA owns JANE'S so it will suck.

I admit to being somewhat less than impartial in this matter   :)

Hmmmm..

EA/Janes did, then re-did, then red-the re-did USNF, ATF stuff.. each revision added some planes and functionality.

I suspect this is a 'battlefield' version of WWII fighters... another re-did of a re-did.

Don't be so harsh on Janes... I can still remember it being the first successful TCP/IP sim release... that worked! It's awfully dated nowadays, but like Falcon; it had a 'Day in the Sun'.
The price of Freedom is the willingness to do sudden battle, anywhere, any time and with utter recklessness...

...at home, or abroad.

Was it Pyro or Smut that went to work for Janes for a bit?

EA no longer owns the rights to Janes. That is why the project was dropped last year by EA and picked up again this year by the current publisher.

Hopefully it will be a nice bargain bin sim but the aircraft look like crap in all the screen shots I have seen.
