Here is a little known secret about convergence. Your convergence settings not only aim your gun barrels horizontally, but also vertically. The farther out you set the convergence the more your gun barrels are pointed up. With mg's and some cannon this makes little difference.
Where it DOES make a big difference is in the slower/heavier cannon rounds and deflection shots. For instance I set my Zeke convergence to 650. This allows me to land cannon rounds on target at higher deflection angles without having to put the target so far below the nose that I need a window in the floor board.
As a rule of thumb if you do alot of deflection shooting (t&b) then increase your convergence. If most of your shots are relatively straight (b&z) then bring the convergence in.
